Pillion footpeg extenders

Postby DickB » Tue Aug 15, 2017 3:30 pm

Hi! I am new to this forum. I am trying to find a set of pillion foot peg extenders for my MT09 Tracer. I understand the ones previously made by Motorcycle Larry for the FJR1300 can be fitted to the Tracer with some very minor modification. Unfortunately these are no longer available from MLR. Just on an off chance, does anyone have a pair they no longer need or, alternatively, does anyone know where I could source an equivalent. Thanks

Hi Mike,
I am in Sydney but am happy to pay you a fair price for them (how does $50 sound) as well as paying the cost of mailing them to Sydney. You would make my wife veeeery happy

Hi Mike
Will do. I have been away for a few days and haven't had the time yet to do the mods I need to make a to get them to fit ie I need to enlarge the mounting bolt hole slightly and reduce the width of the extender by about 1mm to fit between the existing peg bracket. Nothing major. The length and angle are perfect. I also ordered a new set of rubbers as the ones I had did not fit. I should get it all done this weekend then I will post a pic.
Cheers
Dick

Have been searching for pillion foot peg extension options for my 2015 Tracer as my wife found the standard pegs way too high. I discovered the FJR1300 extenders from motorcycle Larry could be modified to fit only to find they are no longer available. Posted a plea on this Forum and was presented with an unwanted pair by M Roadster FOC. (What a great guy!)
They took a bit of modifying but ended up perfect. One very happy pillion.
