Well last night saw my dealership sort out a warranty issue they spotted last week while the "2016 FJR" was in for an unrelated issue., so all good to go for next Monday which see's Pete, Steve, Helix and myself
[sans smurffett - broken ankle] heading for Mildura for the lift off Tuesday morning.
Smurffett not well pleased with herself.
This will be the first of the Assaults she'll miss but her ankle is only three weeks into a possible twelve weeks in a "Moon Boot" so it would be a silly move trying to get her on the bike at this early stage, although I think she was seriously hoping she could manage it somehow but her boss being a Physio, definately had other ideas.
So, I'm going to be batching it this trip so I might get to chuck the bike around on the twisties a bit more than I otherwise would..... :?

As for you guys who are about to head east, all shyte stirring aside, ride safe and enjoy the Paddock, I recon it has a special serenity about it you can't easily find anywhere else I've been in the world.

And Pete as you head over this way, watch out for the Easter Crazies mate, they're everywhere.

We'll see you three guys Sunday, and the rest of our merry band of delinquents on Monday nigjht. :character-smurfette: :character-smurfgrandpa:

Greg and I arrived safe Gilgandra around 6pm
Nearly 700kms of rain, all types of rain, light, misty, torrential, cloud burst.

Watching cars aquaplaning as they hit the dams within the wheel ruts of the road.
Had never ridden in such a downpour, we were lucky to find a rest area.

Followed a 4WD for about 30kms, making good time $1.20, $1.30, in the rain. As he turns into the city center, POLICE, yikes !

The Yamaha tank bag is a great dam, lets water in and stores it.
Emptied out the Neotec at Coona.
Just hope my nappy is waterproof

Tomorrow is a promise of a better day.

Laurie and I are at Ceduna. Have just enjoyed some KGV whiting for dinner. Washed down with copious amounts of ale.
Called into the bottle shop for a 'nightcap' ....... and Laurie had to produce ID to finalize his purchase. Town rules. PMSL.

A 6:00 am start tomorrow for an 880klm ride. Thence a refreshing ale with my newfound friends in a workmans club. I hope Mildura does not usually have gentlemen wearing pink carnations into their work mans clubs.

Let the shenanigans begin!
