Well I'm home since Friday and have been reading the daily diary with great interest on what I was missing out on (if your ears were burning over the last few days, it was just me cursing you lot  ), just the couple of days I was with you all was great, good friends and good company. I would like to give a special mention to Sir Dickie Two Knees, the Jinx, Rogue Dog and to our resident poet JimW thanks fella's, lastly I would like to thank Ernie  well planned and loved every minute shoey, thanks mate   . Hopefully I will be able to get to the 2019 assault and with a bit of luck, last for the whole show. Over to you Ken, happy planning

Greggie, Sorry I didn't get to meet you. Ken's turn to look after you now I reckon. Maybe catch up on the way around when passing Ken's. Hope the ankle gets better soon and don't try forcing it. Most difficult joint to repair (I know)

Hi all, I'm home safe. Was great to see old friends and newer members on the rides. As for the social side of things it couldn't have been better. Gweggie, hope all goes well for you and your ankle recovers. Thank you one and all for a great ride.

Hi all,
Lyn and I aren't home yet but I'd like to thank Ernie and Jim for hosting the event and Pete for his blog and photos. We had a very enjoyable time and I certainly enjoyed the rides. Good to meet new faces too.

I much preferred being based in a number of locations in preference to changing location daily and hope that this will become the norm for future assaults.

Regards,

Werner

Easy ride home up the Hume with Ernie to Narellan, on to the M1 then through Gosford. Lucky we left early as it is hissing down with plenty of thunder. We joined the Assault at Kangaroo Valley. What a great couple of days. I am relatively new to riding so all advice was welcomed and I'm claiming I took a few mm of the chicken strips though tail end Charlie (Jim) might disagree. Thanks to organisers and fellow riders.
Cheers

Laurie and I are now in Sale (Victoria).

Rode thru the worst rain/thunder storm either of us have ever encountered. So much lightning and huge amount of water being washed across the roads. That combined with water entering the helmet/visor area......it was not an enjoyable time.

Got into Cann River and we ripped the wet weather gear off, had a 15 minute break and pushed on to Sale.

Tomorrow we're off to Murray Bridge.
