no lights?

Postby flashpixx » Thu Oct 12, 2017 8:05 pm

started the bike the high beam indicator came on and both indicator lights on the dash.

Headlights are not working, indicator lights on all the time. Screen doesnt raise - lower.

Checked all the fuses (visual only) and swapped them for the spares with no luck.

Ideas??

S7: s8 ???
Are you referring to the grounding issue?
What are s7 and s8? Connectors?…… with broken pins?
Can find reference to the connector under the tank.... s4 I believe

Search spider bite on the forum or FJR spider connection issue on the web.
Problems will be found near the headlights as well as under the tank and near the ecu.

Yep, you have been bitten by the spider.
It's the S6 spider underneath the glove box that's tucked up behind the forks.

It can be anything from a high resistance pin on the bridging connector up to a burnt out wiring loom.

I have a wiring diagram on the Forum. Search for post by me, Ken Fraser. Heaps of information on the Forum.

Cheers

I had similar issues mine was none of the spiders but a connector block on left side of the motor within the wiring loom took stealer 2 attempts to cost over 800 shekels to fix with Yamaha refusing to accept this is a manufacturer fault my block had no signs of corrosion at all all fixed now but expensive
