Late update:
My son was admitted to the PA Hospital last Friday, so I got a chance to drop in on Ken on the Sunday (16th).

Ken's had his operation/s but wound up with a few complications, so had been transferred to the Intensive Care ward. He seemed in reasonable spirits, but (understandably) extremely weak. As only two people are allowed into IC at a time it took a while to get in, but his brother was there as well as another of Ken’s friends.

(I would have posted this earlier, but had my son’s health to worry about, but then on Tuesday night I was knocked over with a lovely bout of Influenza A. My wife now has it, so we are doing all we can not to pass it onto our son - who is now home - as well)

Update (today 23/09):
Called Ken… he sounds much, much better and is now back in a ‘normal’ ward. I'm trying to assist him get his account back online so hopefully he can read/post again.

Should be back to Toowoomba Tuesday / Wednesday. Had about 3 liters of fluids drained from me guts.
Feeling good and should be back on 3 wheels within a week.
Been 13 weeks in hospital, 12 in the PA.
